The design is a simple lacy ribbed pattern that stripes. I used knots (DON’T freak out), as I used the Fisherman’s Knot to join my colors and whip snip…no ends to weave in! By knotting the yarns I was able to use as much of my yardage as possible…how cool is that?

This pattern did use almost every last little bit of four 50 yard balls, so pay attention to your quantities as you go.

I have included written instructions, as well as a chart for your knitting pleasure. You don’t have to use individual colors, as variegated, or self striping yarns would be lovely. This is a great pattern for stash busting as a striped cowl!

I used the twisted cord for the ruching and you can leave the ruching out as well. This is your cowl and I hope you have fun!
