This whimsical gnome can be used as a decorative ‘wrapping’ for a Christmas gift or a companion to the Christmas Gnome. The large gnome is perfect for a bottle of wine, and small gnome for a jar of your favorite jam or a small bottle.

The gnome is knit in the round as one piece, starting with the face, knitting up. The body is knit from the face down. The gnome is slightly felted.

From the Gnome mythology: Unmarried female gnomes have green hats, their sandy colored hair stick out in two braids. Married female gnomes wear dark colors and tack their hair under the hat, so no hair is visible.
