I love the vintage look! Buttons, brooches, hats, anything. The ladies in those old black and white movies really knew how to carry off style and elegance. I love how they always wore a stylish hat when going out. The theme for the November Hat-Along on the Hats! Hats! Hats! group forum was vintage hats. There are several wonderful patterns available, but I couldn’t decide on any one style. Cloche? Turban? I could not choose just one. So I designed my own combining both styles. I love the look of this hat. The little embellishment that curves out over the cheek is the perfect place for a small vintage pin or button.

The hat is knitted flat and seamed, then stitches are picked up along the top edge for the top of the crown. It took me only an afternoon to knit this hat. If you need a quick gift, this would be perfect.
