The Lady of Shalott, a poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson, is about a lady of the days of Camelot. The story is of the lady, who so left her tower and discovered the price, inspired this purse.

She knows not what the curse may be,
And so she weaveth steadily,
And little other care hath she,
The Lady of Shalott.

The 3 tiers of undulating waves of lacy powder blue ruffles.. like the water the lady passed through on her boat….

The bent heart criss-cross design clasp closure and chain handle, with an antique finish, entangles the heart of the Lady of Shalott.. for when she glances for the first time at Lancelot, without using the mirror, she dies.. The bent heart, bent and broken forever.

The lining of the purse is an iridescent satin purple blue… much like the gorgeous hues the lady would have worn.
