Lady’s Ankle Socks, French Heel and Flat Toe
This pattern is out of copyright.

A lovely and very 1940’s pair of lady’s ankle socks in two colours with a pretty lace edge, which is worked and then turned inside-out. A french heel and a nice flat toe and a range of fairly reasonable sizes make for a nice and useable pattern. Adjust the gauge to get larger sizes, or try differant lace patterns from your own collection.

In the 11th and 12th Editions, the recommended yarns are:
3oz Paton’s Rose Fingering, 4 Ply
OR
3 oz Paton’s White Heather Fingering, 4 Ply.
