Lambs' Tails

A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns
Knitting

From the Stitch Description: As a spot-pattern in this demonstration, little “tails” are scattered all over a garter-stitch background. But a Lamb’s Tail can be worked into any single stitch, anywhere … . decorate the edge of a collar or a sleeve; several rows could serve as a border at the bottom of a sweater, jacket, or coat. A longer “tail” … can be used as a belt-carrier when tacked down at the lower end.
