The Land of Lovers Tee takes its name from a city named Uşak in Turkey (pronounced as Oushak in English). People who lived in that area in ancient times loved their art, their jobs, the almighty god and spirituality. The city is famous for handwoven carpets. Europe’s most famous carpets were once woven in this city. My grandfather and his grandfather were carpet manufacturers and merchants in Uşak. Later my uncle and his son continued the same business.

Inspired by figures used in Anatolian carpets, Land of Lovers Tee is a short-sleeved top featuring stranded colorwork motifs of those carpets.

This tee uses different motifs commonly used in carpets woven in Uşak and other Anatolian cities.
