LANDSCAPE SKIRT
This skirt is a knee length, slight A-line skirt, made with IsleYarns DK, and inspired by the landscape around that farm. In the skirt you can see the sea, the trees, the gates that close the fields, and the hills with rolling clouds.
The design is worked from the bottom up, with two color patterned bands made by stranded knitting, separated with small bands in the background color.
The design is made for four sizes: XS-S, M-L, XL-XXL, 3XL-4XL. The top of the skirt has an enclosed elastic waist band and the skirt is designed to fit snugly with a bit of flare going to the knees. If you want it to be shorter, there will be suggestions in the pattern.
The yarn is sturdy and soft after washing, the stitches are well defined, and it knits up like a dream. If you want to know more about the yarn you can read this special story: http://www.toltyarnandwool.com/blogs/blog/isle-yarns-1

Isle Yarns DK (wool ; 100g skeins (220 metres / 238 yards); 50 g balls (110 metres/119 yards))
Size XS-S; (M-L; XL-XXL; 3XL-4XL)
MC: 250 g; (300 g; 350 g; 400 g)
CC: 150 g; (200 g; 250 g; 300 g)
These amounts of yarn are calculated with the Contrast Color as the dominant color, knitted in the dominant hand, during the color work sections.

Needles:
3,5mm/US 4 24-32inch/60-80cm circular needle
4mm/US 6 24-32inch/60-80cm circular needle

Notions: stitch marker, tapestry needle, elastic band: 3,5 cm/1⅜ inch wide, waist width long.

GAUGE
19 sts/22 rows = 10 cm/4 inches square in stranded knitting using 4mm/US 6 needles
I advise you to swatch, and choose your needles so you will get gauge. Changing needles may result in needing more or less yarn for your project.
