I call this my lantern scarf, because it looks like Chinese paper lanterns. It is a result of my experimenting with dropped stitches. If you haven’t done a dropped stitch before, this pattern gives brief instructions for it, and there are several tutorials online. This is a very quick and easy scarf to knit because of those dropped stitches, so you can literally knit a whole scarf in an afternoon or evening.
