The Large Triceratops model was made using KnitPicks Palette fingering weight yarn in colors Clover (MC) and Edamame (CC) using 2.25 mm (US size 1) needles BUT…

It is designed to be made in any yarn weight you choose. The pattern includes yarn requirements (in yards and meters) for fingering and worsted weight yarn, as well as approximate finished dimensions of the toy in those yarns.

The pattern uses two colors of yarn, one for most of the body and a second for the stomach and horns.

Estimated sizes in fingering weight:
Length 10.5 in (26.25 cm)
Height 4 in (10 cm)

Estimated sizes in worsted weight:
Length 18.5 in (46.25 cm)
Height 6.5 in (16.25 cm)

The 15 page pattern includes written pattern, instructions for techniques used and photos demonstrating key points of the toy’s construction.

Techniques used include knitting in the round, short rows, kitchener grafting and three-needle bind-off.
