Larry's Heavy Socks

These are a heavy worsted weight man’s sock. They knit up quickly, which is nice since hubby Larry really likes these socks!

No gauge or yardage is given in the pattern.

The pattern calls for 1 50 gm skein of heavy worsted weight yarn which is not enough to finish one sock. A pair with a shortish leg takes 105 g Knit Picks Shamrock or 80 g Lion Brand Fishermen’s Wool.

Errors noted:
Pattern says -- Heel flap: Knit 20 stitches, turn. Knit these 10 stitches, and 10 stitches from needle 3.
It should say Work these 10 stitches … (either work in 2x2 rib pattern from the leg or purl them.)

Pattern says -- in Turning the heel: … pick up 12 stitches on the other side of the heel flap, and 10 stitches from the first needle.
It should say … pick up 12 stitches on the other side of the heel flap and knit 6 stitches from the first needle.
