Also available in an eBook with long sleeved and cardigan versions.

A light little T with practical stockinette upper and a bit of lace for interest below the empire waist. A choice of two different V-necks (shallow and deep) are offered. Side vents mean less decreasing in the lace pattern, and offer the chance to stick with one size if you normally go a size up for a larger hip measurement.

Worked from the bottom up, the lace panels are joined above the vents and the remainder of the body is worked in the round. The shoulders (and optional bust darts) are worked in short rows. The cap sleeves are worked flat, but only the ribbed section needs to be seamed together, the rest of the sleeve is the cap is then sewn into the armhole. There is a small amount of single crochet finish along the back of the neck, and there is a description of how to do that and outside links for more information in the “Techniques” section of the pattern.

Eight sizes are given in a double file (instructions written out twice, with 4 sizes each to ease confusion while knitting). Lace pattern is both written out and charted, and instructions for optional bust darts provided. Lengthen and shorten instructions are included in the pattern for “petites” and for long-torso’d ladies. The pattern has been extensively test knit and tech edited.

Both the green and white versions have been wardrobe staples for me for two summers - they’re just perfect to throw on to add a bit of posh to jeans and basic skirts!
