Part rustic, part romantic, this scarf is extra thick for warmth, but the lacy stitch keeps it from being overwhelming. Worked on size 19 needles, you can finish this in a couple days and it makes a great gift!

This scarf can be knit plain with one bulky yarn, or, as shown, with a basic bulky yarn and thinner accent yarn.

Yarn:
For the scarves shown I used 1 skein of Thaki Yarns Montana with 1 skein of an accent yarn (listed above).

Substituting yarns:
I have also knit this using Loops & Threads Cozy Wool, which required about 1.25 skeins (about 110 yards), and with two strands of Malabrigo Yarn Worsted held together, which also took 1.25 skeins.

Gauge:
Suggested gauge is 7.5 sts x 10 rows = 4”, but gauge is not extremely important for this project.

Needles:
1 pair US size 19 straight or circular needles.

Additional materials:
Tapestry needle.
