Pattern Description from Cast On, August-October 2009:

This toe-up sock pattern uses slipped stitches to create the lattice design. Review the Sock Lesson before working these socks if you have not used Judy’s Magic Cast-On, worked a short row heel or uses an invisible bind off. The specific instructions for these techniques can be found in the lesson. The lattice pattern is worked on the instep as well as the cuff. This is not a particularly elastic design. If you would like the cuffs to be larger, switch to larger needles when beginning the design on the cuff. The pattern recommends using one circular needle since it is easier to work Judy’s Magic Cast-On with this type of needle but double pointed needles or two circular needles could be used as well.
