I love trying to create new stitches for the loom. My attempts and failures led me to the discovery of this stitch that I call the Lattice Stitch. If you can e-wrap, flat knit, and purl, you can create my lattice stitch.

For a preview of how easy the Lattice Stitch is to master, go watch my YouTube video that demonstrates the technique used to create this beautiful and easy stitch: https://youtu.be/zGhy7y_vSR8

This hat is knit in the round on the yellow 41 peg knifty knitter round loom. It takes about 180 yards of a bulky 5 yarn.

The pattern is suitable for an advanced beginner and includes a picture tutorial of how to do the trickiest part of the stitch pattern.

Take a close look at the picture of the swatch of my lattice stitch. I knit that with just one strand of a bulky yarn on the yellow 41 peg knifty knitter loom so you can see the twists of the “ladders” of the yarn in much better detail. I think it looks quite different from any other type of lattice stitch out there.

If you prefer a more lacy and lighter hat, you could knit this hat using one strand of a bulky yarn instead of the two strands as called for in the pattern.

This pattern is also included in my 26-page Hats eBook. The Hats eBook contains 6 customer favorite hat patterns at a discounted price of $15.
