Top-down, mesh triangle radiating from a center stitch is a great way to use brightly-colored sock or DK-weight yarns. Use a needle a few sizes larger than your yarn calls for, and try experimenting with odd skeins, alternating rows as a great stash-buster. Open mesh develops after a good wet-blocking.
