This pattern produces cabled leg warmers that look great pulled up full-length or slouched. They have a ribbed top and bottom to ensure they stay put. With simple modifications, for which instructions are provided, the pattern can be used to make boot cuffs for times when you want the layered look but not the extra heat.

The cable used in these legwarmers resembles a laurel wreath. I designed this stitch to produce a solid fabric that doesn’t have the gapes that are typical of many textured and puff cables. The steps involved in creating the stitch can be a bit intimidating at first, so an 18 page tutorial with over 30 photographs is included with this download to walk you through creating the Laurel Wreath Cable.

The legwarmers use approximately 400-425 yards of worsted weight yarn and both a 3.5mm and 5.0mm crochet hook.

The boot cuffs use approximately 150 yards of worsted weight yarn and both a 3.5mm and 5.0mm hook.

This pattern is not suitable for beginners. Experience working with front-post stitches and puff stitches is recommended.
