This crochet pattern produces a cozy textured headband with cables that run up either side and meet with a bow-shape in the middle at the crown of the head. It is sized to fit most adult women.

The cable used in this headband resembles a laurel wreath. I designed this stitch to produce a solid fabric that doesn’t have the gapes that are typical of many textured and puff cables. The steps involved in creating the stitch can be a bit intimidating at first, so an 18 page tutorial with over 30 photographs is included with this download to walk you through creating the Laurel Wreath Cable.

This pattern uses approximately 95-110 yards of worsted weight yarn and both a 5.0mm crochet hook.

This is not a beginner pattern. Experience working with front-post stitches and puff stitches is recommended.
