This fluid blanket pattern was inspired by the lava flow from the Kilauea volcano on the island of Hawai’i. The nature of the stitch (aka Indian Cross) allows the blanket to be durable and reversible, which creates a molten, curving border.

Questions for the designer will be answered on my blog.
