Garter stitch stripes and a textured waffle rib edging make up the texture of the Lawndale shawl. A simple triangle worked from the tip to the base, the edging is picked up and worked last.

While the pattern is written for fingering weight yarn, any yarn and the appropriate needle size will make this a great stash busting project.

The finished measurements are a wingspan of approximately 49” and a center back length of approximately 23.5”.

Mixing solids and a variegated with garter stitch and texture add a lot of depth to this shawl.

You will need 225 yards of color A (Marled Sock by Black Bunny Fibers in Campfire), 190 yards of color B (Knitpicks Palette in Gosling), and 110 yards of color C (Knitpicks Palette in Autumn Heather), and a size US 5 (3.75mm) 24” circular needle.

A great project to take along to knit nights or when you’re traveling.
