This squishy Garter Stitch blanket is highly adaptable to almost any weight yarn and monochromatic or wild color combinations. It’s especially suited to self-striping yarn when used with a neutral main color. As I knit this blanket, its tilting lines and colors made me dream of pale frosting and a teetering chocolate cake.

The pattern is easy to memorize, and at the large gauge shown it’s a relatively quick gift for a baby. Of course, you can work at a smaller gauge or create a much larger blanket for a couch or adult sized bed. It’s totally up to you how much you want to eat.

The KAL Line is a collection of seven projects designed for knitters to indulge their creativity and make accessories and objects that are uniquely their own. Thanks for taking a look.
