Pattern for full-coverage mittens to wear on colder days OR make fingerless mitts to keep fingertips open for easy access to your phone
or other devices! These mittens & mitts have been designed to fit and stay on. Length can be adjusted according to your preference. A traditional lace motif has been modified to minimize the holes and the cuff displays a twisted vine ribbing.
Sizing – Measurements only provided for Regular:
Mittens: about 3¾” wide by 7¼” long (not including 2”
cuff).
Mitts: about 3¾” wide by 5½” long (not including 2” cuff).
Notions – Stitch markers, stitch holder, yarn needle.
Needles required -
Regular Adult – Size 4 and Size 5 DPNs (double pointed needles)
Youth/Small – Size 3 and size 4 DPNs (double pointed needles)
Large Adult – Size 5 and Size 6 DPNs. (double pointed needles)
Gauge – 4” = 26 sts with size 5 needles (size Regular)
Yarn – KnitPicks Wool of the Andes Tweed (110 yds, 50 grams
each) – 2 skeins for each pair of mittens. Mittens shown in Lost
Lake Heather, mitts shown in Autumn Heather.
