Lazy Tuesday is a pretty simple hat that looks good on almost everybody. Easy to knit, easy to wear. It’s been my go-to hat for a while now because it doesn’t require a whole lot of attention and it knits up quickly in stockinette. I also love it because I don’t have to do a lot of swatching before I dive in and get started. Yes, sometimes I’m that kind of a lazy knitter. The first few rows of the band are your swatch. I’ve gotten great hats with anything from 4.5 to 5.5 stitches per inch.

There are two sizes included in the pattern, S/M and M/L. You can knit the smaller size with a Worsted or Aran weight yarn or the larger size with a lighter DK weight and you’ll end up with a medium size hat that’s going to fit somebody you know. Small headed friend? Grab a nice DK from your stash and knit the smaller size. Big headed boyfriend? Like a slouchy hat? Cast on the larger size with a Heavy Worsted. It’s very versatile.
