This is a lovely hat knitted in the loveliest of fibers! This is a twisted stitch design that echoes seashells - hence the name “Le Coquillage” which means seashell in French. This is not the project for the true beginner. You will need to know how to knit in the round and how to knit into the back of a stitch.

Angora is the wool from Angora rabbits, it is a soft, lighter than air, hollow fiber that is heaven to wear. You do need to know that it sheds while you are knitting - so don’t work on this hat before you go out dancing! You can substitute just about any dk weight yarn. I had this pattern tested using Malabrigo Silky Merino and it came out just gorgeous! I am always available for knitting help via e-mail.
