Leading lines: prominent lines in a composition, such as a horizon line or the edge of a figure or building, which directs the viewer’s eye around an image.

This delightful shoulder shawl is designed with strong lines that draw the viewers eyes through the lace patterns. It is stunning with or without beads and is a quick and relatively simple knit.

Please note that this shawl can NOT be enlarged by repeating pattern sections!

This shawl can be made with any variety of yarn weights and needle sizes. The brown is made with lace weight yarn on size 4 US needles whilst the blue is made with fingering weight on size 7 US needles. The blue is about 30% larger than the brown. Bead size can also be adjusted. The brown used 8/0 beads and the blue used 6/0 to accommodate the heavier yarn.

Lace sections are charted only.

You will need approximately 430 beads if you choose to bead the shawl as charted.
