Designed for a set of mini skeins, this pattern is perfect for a yarn crawl or a drive through any scenic countryside. The detailed work – two leaves peeping out at the neckline – happens at the beginning of the project so you can finish the fiddly bits before leaving the house, and then transitions into colorful but relaxing garter-stitch rows of alternating colors. Use the equivalent of one skein of sock yarn to make a small shawl, or the equivalent of one skein of worsted weight for a triangular scarf or neckerchief.

Only one color is used at a time. The two strands of yarn are carried up the side of the work, so there are only two ends to weave in per color. Suggestions for using different yarn or yardage, based on skein weight, are included at the end of the pattern.
