The Leaf Stitch Granny Square combines a unique granny square design with the Leaf stitch.. which is also called many names since the original name is unknown. For example “spiked cluster stitch”

Put together side by side it looks like an “X”. Put together like a diamond it will look like crosses. I chose Crosses.

If you would like a smaller square for a baby blanket, I suggest using size F hook and Caron Simply Soft

If you would like a larger square, about 8”, I suggest using size G hook and Caron One Pound.

I do not have a gauge to follow as I did not need one.

Materials needed are:
At least 2 different colors. One for the Granny square portion and the other for the Leaf stitch

F or G size hook

Tapestry needle (optional) for joining squares
