This reversible scarf sits loosely round the neck and has a delicate air to it, just right for a breezy day.

When I designed this scarf, I drew my inspiration from the internal shapes & structures of leaves. Taking a look at the variety of leaf venations, which are beautifully visible when a leaf has started to decompose, I decided to use this stitch pattern to recreate the beautiful image of a bare leaf.

The lemongrass colour suits the fading colour of a leaf which has long ago fallen to the ground. The moving lines and holes of the stitch pattern show the leaf’s now visible venation.

I used soft 1-ply wool which allows the pattern to emerge strongly and also feels soothing on the body.

Anna of Gregoria Fibres is a friend of mine and I admire her intensive work. We collaborated on this project and she kindly gave me the wool. Thank you Anna!

She has a very informative website {gregoriafibers.com} where her organic and nature friendly process
is described in interesting detail.
