I’m so excited to introduce the Leafliner Socks — a design that brings together two things I’ve always loved: structure and nature.
My creative journey began with photography, where I developed a strong appreciation for clean, defined lines. They’ve always drawn my eye, and I find a quiet kind of beauty in their precision. With Leafliner, I wanted to capture that sense of order in stitch form — then soften it with something organic. The small leaf motif at the center is a nod to my connection with the natural world, adding a gentle contrast to the linear elements.
This pattern is especially well-suited for densely variegated yarns — those bold, beautiful skeins that can be tricky to use. The clean lines bring focus and balance, letting the colors shine without overwhelming the design. Pairing a variegated yarn with a contrasting solid enhances the definition and gives the finished socks a striking, polished look.
I hope you enjoy knitting Leafliner as much as I enjoyed designing it. I’d love to see your finished pair — don’t forget to share your project!
