This is a Double Knit Cable pattern where the colors remain in their boundaries. Careful attention to the chart and colors used is needed to get a crisp clean look to the leaves. Because cable crosses are done with the stitches already knit the colors need to be chosen in that row to do this.
As with any scarf you are in control of the size and length by how you choose your yarn and needle size. The size and gauge are from what I used. I would suggest a soft animal fiber without fuzz. A very slippery yarn would make the cabling more challenging. The yardage is what is required in each color.
I used PatternGenius to create the chart and written instructions, KnitCompanion to create the color version with the magic markers and the tracking of where in the chart I was.
