Leander begins with twisted rib, morphing into a traveling current of brioche rib shaped to follow a sinuous course by a combination of decorative increases and decreases. This directional shaping also lends gentle curves along the scarf ’s outer edges, fluidly framing the neck and the shoulders when draped. Worked in woolen-spun Shelter, Leander makes for a gratifying combination of tactile indulgence and lofty warmth.

This scarf is worked in two pieces, each from the cast-on edge to the center; the pieces are then joined. The long edges are finished with a knit-in I-cord edging.
