The versatile Bluefaced Leicester fiber started me thinking about the sheep itself, with wonderful long and curly locks, and I wanted to created something that appeared to ripple and wave like the locks of a Bluefaced Leicester sheep.

The name of the shawl, Leapfrog, originated with those ripples and waves, as well as with how the yarn overs jump from one side of the decreases to the other, depending on which row you are working. If you keel and eye on where those yarn overs are suppose to fall, working this shawl will be a breeze.

The shawl is worked in 525 yards of heavy fingering/sport weight handspun yarn, but can be easily customized with more or less yarn.
