Leaves at First Light is a shawl for budding dryads and elves needing a warm layer to wrap around shoulders in the early morning while creeping off to begin the day, or of an evening while lingering in the cool under the trees or gadding about the forest.

It is designed to sit close around the neck and shoulders, and for a more elfin look can be worn at a jaunty angle over one shoulder or laced up the front through the eyelets to stay put during any enthusiastic woodland frolicking.

The triangle is worked from the bottom up with the edging integrated and can adapt to any yardage or size. Cast on 3 sts for the stem of the first leaf and gradually increase from there, until you’re ready to bind off, no knit-on edging required.

Made from a single skein (or more if you like) of snuggly Malabrigo Rastita. Suits DK to worsted weight. Beading optional but fun!

The pattern is fully written and charted. Pattern is worked on both sides at the border, with relaxing sections of stockinette or garter in the increasing central triangle.
