“Left Twisted and Broken” is named after the stitch combination used to create this textured and warm cowl. The border stitch is a Left Twist Rib and the main panel is stockinette Broken with left twist accents. It is a shorter style, slightly fitted cowl but can be made wider and longer easily.

Yarn: 8ply/DK 210m White Gum Wool super fine merino.
I have written this pattern using 8ply/DK weight. The final dimensions are: 65cm wide x 20 height using 210m of White Gum Wool yarn.
If you would like to make your cowl larger increase the cast on stitches in multiples of 4. You can also make the cowl taller by working more repeats of the body section, more yarn will be required.
If you have a skein that is less or more than 210m that you want to use you can by weighing your skein to confirm it’s weight, then weigh it again after completing the first rib band. You will then know how much you need to leave to complete the second rib band. Work the body panel with the balance. Final dimensions will vary.

Needles/gauge: 4.5mm 60cm in length and 4mm circulars 60cm length.
Gauge: 5cm = 12 sts x 13 rows in body pattern knitted in the round and lightly blocked. The smaller needles should be one size smaller than your gauge needles and are used for the rib borders as indicated.
