These leggies (or armies!) are easy to knit and useful for kids of all sizes, on a teeny baby they will fit all the way up the leg, on a bigger chils they will fit over the knee, worn slouched at the ankles or all the way up, legwarmers should never go out of style.

The baby basics are a set of easy to knit tops and accessories for babies and young children. 4 of the tops are β€œpopovers” tops with buttons or i-cord ties in place of side seams and sleeves, think β€œfitted poncho” or β€œtabard”. These tops are easy over the head and make independent dressing so easy for busy little people.

All of these garments are suitable for beginners who have access to: the internet, an experienced knitter or a good knitting reference book.

All abbreviations are explained and the pattern has been test knitted and tech edited.
