Leher is a rectangular lace shawl featuring a wave-like stitch pattern worked over a multiple of 17 stitches and 34 rows. You cast on a total of 99 stitches, including 85 main pattern stitches (17 x 5) and 14 border stitches (7 on either side). The pattern includes both a chart (with three sections) and written instructions.

I worked 5 horizontal and 12 vertical repeats of the pattern to get an 18-inch wide and 64-inch long shawl. (You could work 3 repeats between the right and left borders to make a scarf or work fewer vertical repeats to make a shorter version).

Yarn – 3 (50 gram) skeins or approx. 800 yards of the Cascade 220 Fingering, or any light-fingering weight yarn that blocks well (preferably 100-percent wool). I used a little less than 3 skeins of Cascade 220 Fingering in the ‘Sage’ colorway.
