My Leopold loves to look smart, while still having a little flair. This sweater was designed for him; with it’s unobtrusive detail panel, and lightweight fabric, it is just what Master 7 was looking for!

Leopold is the expanded interpretation of the free newborn-sized Emma Asked cardigan.

CONSTRUCTION
Leopold has you cast on at the neckline, and work flat utilising standard raglan increases and creating a rounded neckline. From here the work is joined in the round and worked until a specific stitch count is reached. At this point arm stitches are put on to waste yarn (or a stitch holder), and the body completed. You are working the textured panel down the front of the sweater as you go.
Once the body is completed, the sleeve stitches are returned to the needles and worked in the round to the required length.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • applied i-cord (for edgings) backwards loop cast on (underarms & front of neck) knitting small circumferences in the round (sleeves) long tail cast on (for neckline) working top down raglan construction

If you are not familiar with these techniques you may need to reference a knitting guide book, or view videos on the internet.

please note that White Gum Wool 4ply has phenomenal meterage!
