This is a wonderful hat with fleurs de lis-ish designs encircling the sides. Use whatever colors make you happy! The stranding in the colorwork makes the hat even warmer.

This is a pattern we will be using in a colorwork class at my shop. This has had a great reception with our customers. You will carry the unused colors throughout the hat, so you are using stranded colorwork. This is an oversized, slouchy hat; comfy using Jojoland’s Rhythm Superwash in color RS 65 (two skeins) and Sublime’s Extrafine Merino Wool DK in color 304 (one skein). I used a 16” size US 4 circular needle and a set of four size US 4 double-pointed needles.

The colorwork is in an easy-to-read chart and the rest is written out. You will receive instructions on how to work from the chart and also how to catch the unused color when using two-handed colorwork.
