This pattern is what happens when a number of seeming disparate actions:

-My trying to figure out what to do with some brilliant green yarn I’d dyed

-An attempt to make mittens in May

-The urge to brighten up some dreary days

come together into something a wee bit useful and awfully whimsical.

My wrists (I think) are pretty big; I measured a 7” circumference and based stitch count on that. If you think that this could end up baggy for you, I’d recommend either casting on fewer stitches or (if you don’t feel like dealing with the math) just trying a smaller needle size and using a K1P1 rib for the cuff part.

Yardage is based on a (rather short) 3” cuff.

Oh: and “La Main Verte” is French for “Green Thumb,” in case anyone was wondering.
