This pattern was conceived as a way to use up less than 1 skein of leftover lace-weight yarn. Any resemblance to a ubiquitous song from a certain recent Disney movie is…not strictly coincidental. That said, it’s meant to be flexible, and the charts I’ve given for the snowflakes on the body are more like guidelines (especially the 2-page Chart D). Gauge is unimportant, except in the sense that if you’re working with a limited amount of luxury yarn you may need to plan your snowflake scatter accordingly. I had approximately 300-350 yards of Cascade Alpaca Lace left in my stash and ran out of yarn one snowflake before the end of Chart D on the second half, if that’s any indication. But if I didn’t say anything, nobody would have to know…
