The Let it Go Cardigan is totally seamless, apart from the shoulder seaming which you can do with 3 needle bind off if you wish; this means more knitting, less seaming YAY!
This magical Elsa Cardigan is knitted up flat and in the round in one piece from the waist up! It is very easily customisable in terms of length and colour, and because it’s knitted up with chunky needles it’s a pretty quick knit too!

Ease

The ‘Let it go’ Cardigan has been designed to have between 7-13cm/ 3-5inches of positive ease, meaning that it will be roomy. Please size up or down if you wish for a looser or more snug fit.

Tension
In stocking stitch, with 7mm needles, working flat (one row knit, one row purl):
10 stitches = 9.5cm width
10 rows = 7cm

Materials
Size 7mm circular needles (or whichever size needle gets you the correct gauge) with an 80cm cord or longer and a shorter cord for the neckline ribbing. I used an 80cm cord for the entire cardigan and used the magic loop technique for the top of the sleeves!
Please use whatever size needles needed to get correct gauge
Size 6mm circular needles for the ribbing
BOR stitch marker
Stitch holder or scrap yarn to hold stitches
Darning needle for weaving in ends
3 x 20-30mm buttons! I got mine from etsy!

Yarns
Chunky Yarn which recommends using a 6-7mm needle. Please use 1 strand for this yarn!

Yarn combinations
Please use any combination of yarns held together that gets you the correct gauge. I am all for stash busting and making something beautiful out of what you already have in your yarn stash!

Yarn amounts
Because this pattern is a stash buster and different types of yarn can be heavier than others (e.g. cotton is heavier than merino) it is quite tricky to get an approximate yarn amount for this pattern. Please use the measurements below as a guide.
If using Double Knitting (DK) weight yarn with three strands held together you will need between 550 and 1300 grams.
If using Aran/Worsted weight yarn with two strands held together you will need between 600 and 1350 grams.
If using Chunky weight yarn you will need between 500 and 1100 grams.
