Who cares if it’s winter and snowing? You or your lucky project recipient will be cozy toasty warm in my “Let It Snow! Thrummed Earflap Hat.”

The earflaps are knitted with the easy and fun thrumming technique to incorporate a soft, insulating layer of fleece while adding a design element that evokes the look of falling snow. If you’ve never tried thrumming before, I encourage you to give it a try. I’ve included a thrumming tutorial in the pattern, with color photographs showing how I thrummed the earflaps. It’s ridiculously easy! I promise!

The earflaps are knitted flat, stitches are added and the hat is joined and completed in the round. So if you can knit in the round with circular and double pointed needles, you’ll find this an easy and quick knit. Yes, even with the thrumming! Easy Peasy!!

As with all my designs, I want you to have a fun knitting experience and end up with a fabulously successful result, so I’m available to answer all questions that may come up. Just contact me through Ravelry or send me an Email to my address provided on the pattern.

Thank you … and Happy Thrumming!

A SPECIAL THANKS GOES TO MY BUYER “KNITTIN2” FOR ALLOWING ME TO USE HER PHOTO OF HER HUSBAND WEARING HER COMPLETED PROJECT. DIDN’T SHE DO A FABULOUS JOB WORKING UP MY DESIGN?
