This is a Measure & Make pattern, which means you can knit this in any yarn, with any size needle, for any body size. That said, due to the vast difference in head to body ratio between adults and babies, this pattern is not suitable for babies and toddlers.

As it is a Measure & Make pattern, I cannot predict your yarn usage. The sample was made for a 105 cm bust measurement and required 1150 meter of yarn. The sample was made with Colourspun Cotton Aran and Colourspun Lace Kid Mohair. A heavy yarn is however, recommended.

This bulky top is ideal to match with another thin top underneath, and leggings.

It is knitted top-down with only small seams under the arms, and without any stitches that must be picked up. Double Moss Stitch gives interesting texture on the collar, the sleeves, down the sides and as a bottom border.

The top can be made to any length you prefer; it will look just as good cropped, or on the hips.
