Inspired by the inside joke that is the “Mailbox Lady Saga”, the Letter Carrier Fingerless Mitts are meant to be an easy project that is perfect for gifts throughout the year. Fingerless mitts are great to wear inside during the colder months, and when you’re in the Midwest, you know that there are more cold months than there are warmer months.

With a chevron stitch pattern on the back of the hand to add texture and interest to the piece, this one skein project is bound to be one of your new quick-knit favorites. The mitts are worked in the round up to the thumbhole. They are then worked flat to create the opening for the thumb without having to sew any seams or create a gusset.

This pattern calls for:
1 skein of OMG Rushmore (Sport Weight, 345 yds/skein), shown in color #MBL
