This highly textured shawl was inspired by the many lichens and mosses that grow in Wales. Lichen stitch is paired with moss stitch bands, which are accentuated by reverse stocking stitch. These contrast with the wide central garter stitch panel. This makes an interesting, yet easy knit for the advanced beginner. A versatile shawl in 2 sizes, that can be worked in a variety of yarns from fingering through to worsted weight. It is best worked in a solid yarn to show the textured patterns well.
