This is a simple knit-it-fast cowl pattern that shows off hand spun art yarns especially well.

Art yarns often come in short yardage, so they can be used as an accent, and they also usually have a lot of texture and don’t show complicated stitch patterns well. They’re beautiful on their own and are so pretty in this pattern. The cover photo is knit with my own hand spun yarn (https://www.etsy.com/shop/DragynKnyts) alternated randomly with Plymouth Baby Alpaca Grande in black with the silver sparkle.

This pattern is easy to adapt to your specific needs. Wear as shown, or pull down over shoulders. Cast on more stitches to make it long enough to twist around your neck twice, or make it skinnier, or deeper by adding or subtracting yardage. Switch it up with a contrasting top and bottom border, or stripes.

Gauge is given on this pattern for your reference. It is not needed for fit.
