This hat is named for licorice, which has the property of strength, gives a feeling of satisfaction, and is an anti-inflammatory. The pattern uses multiples of 4, which represent a solid foundation, good support, reliability, commitment, patience, strength of spirit, and intuition. This hat was designed as a gift for a friend, to impart these qualities to her along with the hat’s inherent warmth.

This is an easy project that knits up super quickly and is perfect for taking with you to knit while you spend time with friends. Its ribbed pattern also becomes meditative and you may wish to just zone out while you knit.

This hat is knit in the round on size 6 (3.0mm) needles using worsted weight yarn.

Requires one colorway of yarn as shown.

This hat is stretchy and will fit most adults.
