Very up-to-date in waistline and collar, this open-work pattern makes a pretty jumper to get ready for wear in the autumn. WAISTS being back to normal, the newest jumpers have blouse-like effects, pouching slightly over the waist. “Good Needlework” (London) issued this design, which has a high collar. You begin by making the sleeves; then do the back; and finally the front. The collar is then knitted on before the seams are sewn up.

Materials. — 1 oz. of 4-ply Ladyship Scotch fingering wool; a pair of long bone knitting needles. No. 9; two spare needles; a set of four No. 12 needles for collar and cuffs [Old UK].

Tension & Measurements. — Worked at a tension of 8 st. to the inch in width on a small piece of plain knitting, this fancy pattern will give the following measurements when pressed: Length from shoulder to bottom of waistband. 19½ inches; round bust, 34 inches; underarm seam or sleeve, including cuff, 22 inches.
