“This artful piece of lace knitting in fine mohair is absolutely exquisite and provides a good challenge for summer knitting. The time you put in will be well-rewarded. You’ll wear this shawl again and again.”

Pattern is charted using the Burda format. There are no written row-by-row instructions. The body of the shawl is comprised of Shetland lace spiders and lozenges. This is true knitted lace with patterned knitting on both sides of the shawl. An innovative knit-as-you-go lace edging frames the Shetland lace, effectively eliminating the need to add a knit-on edging after the body shawl has been knit. This also leaves minimal finishing work. Both features make this lace shawl an appealing project for adventurous intermediate advanced lace knitters.
