This simple cardigan features basic turned hems and a doubled button band. The set-in sleeves begin at the wrist with a simple turned hem and are increased to the underarm. The body is worked from the bottom up, and also begins with a classic turned hem which connects to the button band with a mitered corner for a clean finish. The collar is finished off with a simple turned hem, but uses shaping in order to allow it to lie flat.

Subtle shaping and a turned button band give a polished look while the simple stockinette body and basic shaping allows you to personalize the cardigan with lace, cables, or any other texture and motif that suits your style.
